Goals for the Summer

I do not have anything interesting to blog about. However, the alternative is keeping a journal for Language Arts. So here are my Goals for the Summer—and moreover the school year.

  • Do enough school to take off some in December.
  • Do not fail Advanced Math
  • Do Language Arts without whining excessively. Find meaning in the books even if they are unintelligible.
  • Learn Hayden’s Concerto no. 2. Try out for districts.
  • Learn insane cantata thing that is apparently entitled, “Ruft un dies kampft mien dur bitte wienermullen gerbenstrasse wuft un dies stimme”, or “Sleepers Awake”.
  • Write thank-you notes.
  • Get decent scores on the PSAT.
  • Relearn the French horn.
  • Do not break my braces.
  • Taize!!!!!
  • Stop being bothered when people a) ask if my hair is naturally curly; b) call me a name that is not mine such as Sophie, Emily, or Linnea, all of which I get confused with on a regular basis; c) think that I am seventeen; d) ask if I am pursuing music as a career.
  • Keep my seat in the orchestra.
  • I would say keep my seat in the band, but because Ryan is gone I will actually be advancing by default so that is moot.
  • Finish chem.
  • Learn to drive. Do not crash, hyperventilate, or scream.
  • Begin advanced biology. Do not complain about having to cut up a COW’S EYEBALL.
  • Possibly get a job. Maybe. We’ll see.
  • That’s all I can think of right now.
  • Some restrictions may apply.
